Drawing on my successes and failures in life
as a world record holder wrestler, Iditarod competitor, father,
son, and just being human form the background for my speeches
and books.
I have been involved in sports at the highest level all my adult
life and found that sports are more than competition. It is a
collection of values and associations. The powerful symbolism of
sports, like the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, professional wrestling,
and power lifting, can be used to inspire others to exceed. In
the process of competition I always hope to create good will and
character by being an example and an inspiration. |

With sled dogs, fitness and wrestling as my
symbols, I teach goal setting [living your dreams by planning,
training, and testing], the art of Self-giving, and the values
of a Work Ethic. I like to give greater meaning to adventure and
challenges. Kan-Du Adventures, teaches young and old that they
have the same capabilities and strengths as the explorers and
pioneers that traveled the north with sled dogs.
“I have got to know Paul as a
motivational straight shooter. He is the real deal, and
walks among all people as a person who treats others with
respect. When you meet him, you will know. This is a person
with a strong will, a man without excuses, and a solid
character. Make a deal, and you have a deal.”---Joe
Runyan-Winner of the 89 Iditarod—Author
“I always look beyond the numbers of any sporting event.
I want to find character and a human face for my stories and
try to sustain it. That’s why I find Paul Ellering
interesting”
---Greg Heister- Sports caster – Voice for
three Emmy Award winning documentaries.
